I've been craving for Taiwanese food for awhile, came here on Thursday just to found out they closed every Thursday. Came back the next day to get their Pork Chop Over Rice 排骨飯. Such a great value for your money, their portion is big, and it taste really good! Rice and vegetable, pork chop and even a soup. I'll come back for sure to try more

Around 10 minute wait if you get the pork chop over rice. Minimal seating area. Good portion for the price. Food coma likely.

OMG~ I have not ate Taiwanese food that is this good since 66 seafood restaurant left flushing. Their pork chop railroad bento is so worth the money. It's so much food that can feed two meals. The boss lady is super friendly! If I have to say something not so nice is their location sucks. It took me a while to find it. But that doesn't stop me from giving the 5 stars review. Yep this became one of my regular. So good!!

I've heard great things about Taiwanese food but unfortunately haven't been able to try much of it yet. I saw a video on YouTube recommending this spot so I decided to give Taipei Hong a visit for a taste of this revered cuisine. In particular, I was interested in trying the famous Taiwanese popcorn chicken. I ordered the platter over rice which came alongside diced beef and cooked cabbage. After one bite, I was blown away by the popcorn chicken. The chicken was perfectly fried with a satisfying crisp, tender inside and delicious seasoning. The rice platter was a perfect complement to the fried chicken. On its own, the rice platter is a bit on the bland side but still no problem if you drizzle a bit of soy sauce! The owner is really nice and is very friendly over the phone and in-person as well. I really enjoy the food, ambiance and overall experience at this Taiwanese food stall so I will offer it a 5-star rating.

We had the popcorn chicken with rice, pork belly with rice, and Taiwanese sausage. All our dishes, fair portions, were definitely affordable and tasty. The rice dishes also came with pickled vegetables, a tea egg, and minced pork. These also tasted good. I felt that the medium spice didn't blend well with other popcorn chicken that I've tried, but the dish was still solid. We ordered in front and got our food on a tray. Seating is in a shared, air-conditioned space with a few other businesses selling food. Service was quick, but note that that they only accept cash for payment.

Wanted to grab a snack and found this place tucked in the back of a mini food court. There were only 3 rows of tables that could fit about 4 people per row. Food came out fairly quick. I tried stinky tofu for the first time and I can't say that it's my new favorite thing. My friend likes it and enjoyed the fried stinky tofu. To me, it had a bad pungent taste. Even the sauce or having a bite of popcorn chicken could hide it. To each their own. The popcorn chicken was good. You could taste the five spice. The meat was not dry and pretty decent sized. Every bite had meat, which I appreciate.

Taipei Hong was so good, we went here twice already for our food choice. The first time, we met a sweet lady that offered us a free drink. Their Popcorn Chicken ($8) is on the pricey side, but it's the only one I am aware of in Flushing. You can taste the batter, but the chicken itself wasn't bad. You can't go wrong with their Taiwanese Style Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($11) or their Pork Chop Over Rice ($10). Their noodle soup isn't as memorable as their Pork Chop Over Rice though. They make a mean delicious pork chop! And there's something about their minced meat over rice that just pairs perfectly together. Next time around, I tried their Taiwanese Burger ($6), and I wasn't expecting how sweet it would end up being, with lots of sugar and nuts surrounding the pork meat. I wouldn't get again, but it was pillowy. I speak the same for the Taiwanese Cold Noodle ($8), which their Mild Spicy was too much for me. The noodles were soft and bouncy though. Their Fish Steak Rice ($9) is the first I've ever seen. Picture a fish fried in a Taiwanese fried chicken style, and that's a fish steak. I wasn't expecting how interesting it tasted, and yet it works! They gave 5 pieces too! What a deal. The food isn't exactly mind blowing, but it is pretty affordable, and they probably offer the best Taiwanese food in this area. I find myself craving their fried foods every time now.

This is a small family owned shop in Flushing, Queens in a tinyish narrow food hall that has other vendors located inside. This spot definitely gives "hole in the wall vibes" if you're looking for that. There is limited seating so be prepared! The food was not expensive at all. It was decent solid food for the price you pay but don't expect it to be gourmet! I like the minced pork on the rice and the rice dish but the pork chop itself was just ok. Nothing super special. I shared with a friend and she seemed she enjoy the noodles and Taiwanese burger. To me they were just okay as well. But for the price, you get quite a lot of food!

Keepin it real out here in Flushing Solid solid spot for some traditional Taiwanese food. Location is convenient and even better, inside a tiny food hall with bunch of other vendors. There's just the right amount of seats and still has the hole in the wall vibe. The dishes are authentic and traditional, if that's your thing then it's the spot for you. The popcorn chicken and pork chop are something that everyone will like. Will def return.

After reading all of the cool reviews about the popcorn chicken, I had to check out Taipei Hong. It's conveniently located on Roosevelt Ave, just outside one of the 7 train entrances. I ordered just the Taiwanese popcorn chicken for $8. I waited a little less than 10 minutes and it was piping hot! The lady asked if I wanted it spicy, and I wasn't sure just how spicy it would be so I asked for just a little bit of spice. The portion was quite generous and came in a takeout rice container. The chicken was tasty, well flavored with salt and pepper, and definitely on the spicy side. There is seating but it is a bit tight, and the tables are not the most clean. I'm glad I found this place because I usually just pass right by it, not knowing that it was at the back of the little "mall." The other items on the menu are reasonably priced and I would love to come back for an inexpensive but filling meal in the future.
